DICOM 3D printing materials

We 3D print anatomical models from MRI and CT scans in a range of resins using our cutting edge SLA and Stratasys Polyjet 3D printers. Find out more about our DICOM 3D printing materials options. We not only 3D print DICOMs in a range of materials but can also 3D print multiple materials in a single model. This is ideal for simulating hard and soft tissue using a combination of rigid and flexible materials and visualising internal structures encased in clear resin. We also provide options for milling in materials such as PEEK and titanium.

Vero Clear

Vero clear is an ultra high quality, transparent material which can be polished to an optically clear surface. It is rigid and is great for encapsulating and showing internal structures. All Vero materials are printed at a layer height of 14 microns for smooth surfaces with exceptional detail.

Vero (colour)

The Vero range offers vibrant, contrasting appearances for highlighting areas of interest. As standard we print in Vero black but where necessary we print in full colour including clear. All Vero materials are printed at a layer height of 14 microns for smooth surfaces with exceptional detail.

Agilus

Agilus is a soft, flexible rubber like material which is elastic and pliable. It is ideal for simulating blood vessels, joints and other soft tissue. It can be blended with other materials in a single print to create areas of harder and softer material. Agilus is printed at a layer height of 14 microns for smooth surfaces with exceptional detail.

SLA Grey

Our grey SLA resin gives a high quality, flat matte finish. It is rigid and ideal for general visualisation and can be cut and drilled. The printing layer height is 25-100 microns which gives a smooth appearance.

Custom

Where there are special DICOM 3D printing materials requirements we can 3D print in many other materials through our network of partners. This includes full colour plastics, ceramics, waxes suitable for burnout and biocompatible materials including titanium.

Milled

Some clinical applications require materials which cannot be 3D printed. In these cases we can provide machined pieces. Some of the materials we can provide include PEEK and titanium.
